By paying, you agree to the following:
The proofreader corrects and ensures consistency of spelling (British or American English, depending on which is specified above in the Format section), grammar and punctuation, and the format of sub-headings, bibliographical references, tables, figures, etc.

If no style guide is supplied we correct references to the style that is prevalent in the document and to ensure continuity. We do not reduce documents to within the word limit and we do not revise the format of references in a document, for example, from in-text citations to footnote references or numbered references.

Your document is proofread using the ‘track changes’ function of Microsoft Word. This is a standard function installed in most versions of Microsoft Word. This function allows you to move easily between changes and accept any or all of the modifications proposed by the proofreader. Corrections, suggestions and comments are shown in the right-hand margin and are easy to accept into your document.

When we have finished proofreading we will return two files to you: a tracked version and a clean version of your proofread document. The tracked version is named yourfilename_tracked_version and the clean version is named yourfilename_clean_version. Using our previous example these would be: Andre_Carpenter_02072024_tracked_version and Andre_Carpenter_02072024_clean_version.

Proof-Reading-Service.com exclusively offers academic proofreading services for senior academics, including professors, postdoctoral researchers and research students. We cover all academic materials from PhD theses, dissertations, conference papers and journal articles to scientific documents, books and research proposals. We will proofread your academic and scientific materials to a high standard using the experience and skills of our professional academic proofreaders.

PRS ensures that your work is free of grammatical errors and spelling mistakes and that it puts your ideas across effectively and clearly in perfect English. For submission details for our academic proofreading services, please refer to the ‘How it works’ section of our website.

We will also check that your tables and footnotes are correct and your bibliography is consistent and correctly set out, to make sure that you submit a professional-looking academic or scientific paper. Many of our customers are non-native English speakers who are senior academics including professors who wish to publish their research in English, or graduate students writing up their dissertations. We specialise in helping these customers by correcting and ensuring the consistency of their spelling, grammar and punctuation and the format of subheadings, bibliographical references, tables, figures etc.

In some cases, our proofreaders will also offer advice on ways to improve your writing style in situations in which it is not strictly incorrect, but perhaps a little awkward or unclear. At all times, our goal is to help you report your research and communicate your ideas clearly and effectively in perfect English so that your written work faithfully and accurately reflects the high quality of its content and the research behind it.

Sharing your writing with colleagues and mentors before you submit it for publication or grading can be extremely helpful, particularly if their specialities overlap your own, but the services of a professional academic proofreader are well worth their price. The academic proofreaders at Proof-Reading-Service.com, for instance, are highly educated native speakers of English. They hold postgraduate degrees, many of them doctorates, in a wide range of academic subjects, and all of them are experts in proofreading English text. They can check and correct your grammar, punctuation and spelling, as well as the formatting and the editorial style of references, abbreviations and other elements of your writing. Since our proofreaders are academics and careful critical readers, they can watch for errors in data and suggest where descriptions of methods and results are not as clear and precise as they might be. They are also adept at assessing the effectiveness of the tables and figures that often play such an important role in communicating the details of academic research.

Your professional image can be spoilt by small grammatical mistakes and careless spelling. Let us ensure that your written work faithfully and accurately reflects the quality of the content of your essay, dissertation, PhD thesis, journal paper or book.

Our academic proofreading of your work will give you more confidence in the work you submit or publish. We can help you put your ideas across clearly and effectively in perfect English by removing errors of grammar and spelling before you submit your essay, dissertation or thesis for examination, or your book or paper for publication.

We have helped many senior academics including professors and researchers by proofreading their written work before it was accepted for publication. Without academic proofreading, the work would not have been accepted. In many cases, customers have contacted us to proofread their work because it was rejected on the first submission due to too many errors of English spelling and grammar. In most of these cases, the document was accepted for publication after our academic proofreading services was used.
